England is a beautiful country to hike in! Full of beautiful countryside, picturesque villages, rolling hills, and mountains. A country with miles and miles of public paths and bridleways. There are enough walking routes to last you a lifetime!
What makes England extra special, is that it is home to 10 amazing Nations Parks:
- – North York Moors National Park
- – Peak District National Park
- – Yorkshire Dales National Park
- – Lake District National Park
- – Northumberland National Park
- – New Forest National Park
- – Exmoor National Park
- – Dartmoor National Park
- – Broads National Park
- – South Downs National Park
England is home to over 200 peaks that are above 610 meters (2,000 feet) in height. A large portion of them are found in the breathtaking Lake District National Park, the mountain capital of England.
If mountains are not your thing, there is beautiful, picturesque countryside to go for a walk-in. One of my favourite places to go for a lovely country walk is in the Yorkshire Wolds.
