Sheringham is a beautiful seaside town, located along the North Norfolk Coastline. A great stop for a dip in the sea, enjoy some food or go on a lovely coastal hike. We did all three!

If you fancy a bite to eat, Fat Teds Street Food is a great place! They even have a good choice of Vegan food to choose from!
Parking
There is free parking, suitable for campervans along the seafront. The parking is right next to the golf course, where this hike starts from.

The Route
If there’s one thing to do in Sheringham, is to walk this route! It’s a beautiful route that shows off the picturesque coastline and the scenic countryside. Not only that, you get to see a traditional windmill, and the famous North Norfolk Steam Train.
Follow this map, as you walk the route, and you shouldn’t get lost! Make sure your location is turned on and you should be able to see exactly where you are, on this map. Or if you prefer, download the GPX file and use it on your choice of route tracker.
The route is just over 7 miles long, walking anti-clockwise along the loop.
1.
Starting at the car park above, take the public footpath, marked the coastal route, heading west out of Sheringham. Follow the path along the edge of the golf course, along the coastline.

Continue along the coastline, until you reach a small group of houses. At the houses, turn to your left-hand side and follow the lane, pass the windmill to the main road, A149, Sheringham Road.

At the road, turn to your right-hand side and work for a very short distance along the edge of the road. Very shortly, you should see a little path going off to your left-hand side, between two houses.

Follow the path as it heads past some allotments. At the bottom, turn to your right-hand side. Follow the path for a short distance, until you reach the main street in the village of Weybourne. Here, turn to your left-hand side and follow the footpath along the edge of the road to Weybourne Train Station.

At the train station, head over the bridge, and take the footpath going off to your left-hand side. Follow it along the edge of the railway lines.

Follow the path East, until you reach a path travelling off to the North, at Cracking Hill.

7.
Take the path going off to the north. Follow the path past the edge of the woods, over the A149 (Sheringham Road), over the railway lines, and back towards the coastal path.
8.
As you reach the coastal path, turn towards your right-hand side and follow the path back to where you started the walk from.
