Kravica Falls, also known as the Niagara Falls of Bosnia & Herzegovina is a ‘must’ visit when in the country! One truly spectacular waterfall!
Kravica Falls, located in Kravica Nature Park, is less than an hour’s drive from the famous town of Mostar, and a 2-hour drive from the famous city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, making it a very popular day trip for many Croatian tourists!

How To Get There
There are many ways to get to Kravica Falls. You can book yourself on a tour from Mostar, Sarajevo, or even Dubrovnik in Croatia. You can pay for a taxi or hire a car and drive yourself there. We actually had our own campervan with us from the UK.
Driving is easy to the waterfalls. The roads to Kravica Nature Park are in good condition and easy to navigate. When you arrive, there is a huge car park to park your vehicle in. At the time we visited in 2023, it cost just €1 (86p) to park.

Costs
There is a small price to pay when visiting Kravica Waterfalls. Depending on what time of year you visit, depends on how much you will get charged.
Here are the prices for 2023:
- October to May – €4 (£3.45)
- June and September – €5 (£4.71)
- July and August – €5.5 (£4.75)
Opening Times
Kravica Waterfalls are open 24 hours a day! However, the ticket office is only open between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. If you choose to visit when the ticket office is shut, the entry to the park is free and you are likely to have the whole waterfalls to yourself!
Bring Your Swimsuit
If you like to go swimming, bring your swimsuit! This is one place where you are allowed to swim! A perfect way to cool off in the hot summer months!
If you are not a fan of outdoor swimming, in the summer season, there are boats that you can pay to go on, or rowing boats to hire.
Bring Some Good Shoes
The waterfall is not located right next to the car park. You have to take a short walk down to it. The path is fairly steep in parts and can get slippery when wet. So make sure you are wearing some comfy shoes with grip!
Best Time To Visit
If you are not a fan of big crowds, I recommend getting there early morning or from teatime onwards! During the day, the waterfall can get very busy! It’s a very popular tourist spot! Expect to see big coach parties turning up, people swimming in the waters, music playing, and poolside food and drinks being served by the restaurants.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of busy, tourist spots. We visited later in the day, it was perfect! The coast trips had left, and the large crowds were all starting to head home. The only downside, the sun was in the wrong direction for good photos!
