Amble A Hidden Gem

Amble is a beautiful town and seaport, located next to the North Sea. We visited in the evening and had a lovely walk over the pier and watched the sunset. The sunset was outstanding!

Here’s What To Do In Amble

Amble may only be a small town, but it offers a range of fun things to do! Here are some of the top things to add to your list on your visit:

Visit The Beach

There is a small, sandy beach, with a sheltered area of salt water for paddling in. This is great for kids, as you don’t have to worry about them being swept out to sea by the currents!

Visit The Marina and Harbour Wall

Visit the beautiful marina and walk along the lovely harbour wall.

See The Puffins

Between the months of March and July, you can go out on a boat trip to Coquet Island to see the Puffins.

Grab A Bite To Eat At Fish Shaft

I’m not a fish eater, however, I have been told, the Fish Shaft does great food if you are feeling peckish!

Spurreli Ice Cream

There’s nothing better than enjoying ice cream at the beach! Spurreli Ice Cream is meant to be one of the best in Northumberland!

Do A Bit Of Shopping

If you enjoy shopping at local, independent stores, then Queen Street is the place to be!
