Feeling A Bit Defeated

Not feeling great this weekend with the wolf! I’ve upset him, and he’s making me pay!

It’s so hard sometimes! You are constantly thinking about the wolf, putting him first before your own needs, making sure he’s happy at all times. I guess it’s a bit like having a child. You often put their needs first, before your own. You are constantly making sure they’re ok, they are happy. The wolf even has tantrums like a child, when they are unhappy or don’t agree with something. Yes, that’s the wolf this weekend! Because of his tantrum, I spent Saturday in bed! Still not 100% today, but feel like I’m heading in the right direction. I’m hoping he’s slowly going to come out of his sulk today.

Not Sure Why He’s Had A Tantrum

I’m not 100% sure what has made the wolf so unhappy this week. I think it’s a mixture of things. At the start of the week, I wasn’t sleeping very well. I know full well, not getting enough sleep makes him unhappy.

I’ve also got a lot of stress with the house going on. Yes, still haven’t moved! Possibly moving the 17th of December, if not it will be after Christmas. I just wish I knew, then I would know if to put the Christmas tree up or not. I feel Christmas time is the worse time to move. I’m trying to prepare for Christmas but also get ready for a house move. Christmas alone is probably the most stressful time of the year, then a house move on top, I mean no wonder the wolf isn’t happy!

Then the cold, snowy weather hasn’t helped with the pain in my joints. The weather is a weird one! I can spend time in the snow in a different country skiing for a week, and I will be ok pain-wise. But then here in the UK, the weather gets cold, my joints become so painful. I don’t know if it’s because the air here is more of a cold damp air and in other countries, it’s cold but dry air? It’s a weird one I will never understand. It’s a bit like the heat in the summer when it gets really hot. Everyone always says the heat is different abroad from the heat here in our country!

Then there have been other aspects of my life being busy and/or stressful. It’s been one of these weeks, were everything just adds up and leaves me with one unhappy wolf! I know what upsets him quite often. Sometimes, no matter how much you try, things become out of your control.

I Accidently Ate Dairy

So this was all my own fault! Only have myself to blame! I brought some bread buns to go with our vegan burgers earlier in the week. I’m normally quite good at checking everything to see if it has dairy in it. For some reason, I completely forgot to check these. That night my stomach was sore, I felt so sick. Even the next day, my stomach still didn’t feel right. At first, I was confused. I couldn’t work out what was causing it. I was like maybe it’s just my medication. I like to blame most things on that! I had just started taking my iron tablets again, after having a little rest off them, so kind of blamed it on them. It was only the following evening when I thought about the bread buns, I decided to check the ingredients. They contained milk! You really have to check everything when you have intolerances/allergies. Luckily, I’m only intolerant and not allergic to milk! You also have to check products you buy regularly don’t suddenly change their ingredients. Pringles have added milk powder to one of their products. How annoying is this?!

The Story About My Iron Tablets

A few weeks back, my doctor got me to stop my iron tablets to give my stomach a bit of rest. My iron levels are currently in-range, so it wouldn’t cause too much harm. For anyone who doesn’t know iron tablets can be quite harsh on your stomach. Since restarting them, I’ve struggled to get back to taking two tablets a day, so I’ve reduced them to one. I just hope it’s going to be enough to keep my iron levels in-range.

Anyways, that’s it from me this week. I had my bloods done this week, there all ok. Going to the toilet is very painful at the minute from the amount of codeine I’ve taken this week for the pain in my joints. Normally, I take Lactulose to prevent it from getting so painful. But I completely forget all week. Yes, I am so forgetful! If I don’t set a reminder, I forget to do it! I’m also currently very congested with my sinuses at the minute and can hardly breathe through my nose. The lining inside my nose is that sore and inflamed, it keeps bleeding. Nearly brought a mini Christmas tree the other day, to try and make our home feel a little more Christmassy, but then I thought I better not. It looked like it was covered in mould spores and probably end up causing me a sinus infection!
