The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is located in North Yorkshire. The National Park is famous for being on the largest expanses of heather moorland in the UK. It’s beautiful to visit late summer/early autumn when the heather turns a gorgeous purple colour. Just don’t forget to look out for grass snakes and adders. It is home to both. I have witnessed both sunbathing on the tarmac, on a hot summer’s day. Sometimes, you can come across their skin too. You may see it randomly left on a gate or a fence.
