The Power Of Cucumber Juice With Lupus

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!

Yesterday, we went out for a lovely walk in the countryside. We saw a 2-week-old foal. He was adorable! We also saw horses sheep, lambs, miniature horse, and cows. Honestly, I think we saw more wildlife than we did people!

Here’s a photo the 2-week-old foal:

It’s Been A Scorcher!

Not sure what the weather is doing where you are this weekend, but where I am, it’s been a scorcher!

Honestly, this weekend the weather has been a bit too warm for liking. Last night at 9 pm, my indoor thermostat was reading 29 degrees! It was not pleasant! One thing we have got this year that has helped massively, which we didn’t have last year a little air cooler. It’s portable and charges by USB, which is great for us, as it means we can take it away in the van with us too!

The Wolf

Things with the wolf have been great recently! I feel like I did last year, around the time I moved house and got married. It’s great! It’s making me so happy! I want nothing more than to feel well and be able to live life to the full.

Last year, when I was moving house and getting married, I was drinking cucumber juice regularly. I had read about how cucumber juice is meant to be good for Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. I skeptically tried it, and I was surprised how I actually started to feel well! So with two big important events last year, I strictly stuck to it.

I then went off on my honeymoon to America for 3 weeks. No reason at all, when I returned I just stopped drinking my cucumber juice. Funnily, my health with the wolf declined too. Not once did I put two and two together!

Just over a month ago when I was struggling with the wolf, my sister asked me if I still drank my cucumber juice. I was like, ‘oh no I don’t, maybe I should start again?’

A Game Changer

Honestly, I cannot believe it! After 4 weeks of drinking cucumber juice, I feel so much better! I feel like I did last year, around the time of my house move and wedding. It’s literally turned my life around! I do find it hard to believe drinking the juice of the cucumber can have such a positive impact on the wolf. But the more I read into it, and why it does, it kind of makes sense.

Basically, cucumber juice is an anti-inflammatory, hence why it’s so good for Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. Or any illness which can high levels of inflammation in the body. It’s also high in vitamin K, which is needed to protect your bones. For anyone who is on long-term steroids, like myself, this is an extra bonus.

How To Get The Best Results

If you are struggling with your illness, give it a try! If you don’t like the taste, just hold your nose and down it like a shot. But to be honest, I don’t think it tastes that bad. But I do love cucumber!

You don’t have to make one every day. However, the more you do have, the better the outcome, especially if you are suffering from high levels of inflammation in your body. I tend to have 4 a week, which seems to be a good balance.

You need to have it first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before you eat or drink anything. You need to juice a full cucumber in a juicer. Eating a cucumber or blending one in a blender doesn’t give you the same results. Not sure why, I am sure there is some science behind it if you research it.

If you give it a try, let me know how you get on. And honestly, as much as you might not want to believe it, you have nothing to loose trying it! To me, it’s been a game-changer!

That’s it from me this week. Next weekend we’re in the North York Moors National Park with Casper for a couple of nights. We are having a 3-course meal on the steam train from my mother-in-law’s 60th birthday, which will be a cool experience.

I will be back in a fortnight. Stay cool and stay hydrated.

Until next time,

Goodbye for now

Emma
