Dead Horse Point State Park is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area!
The park is located in Utah, just outside Moab, and is famous for the giant gooseneck in the Colorado River.
The story behind the name is believed to have come from the cowboys. Their horses would die from exposure, as they faced the bitter cold, icy temperatures. So if your planning on visiting on a cold day, make sure you wrap up warm!
The best way to see the gooseneck, it by visiting the Dead Horse Point Overlook, which towers 2,000-feet above the river. It was so impressive to see! If you have time, there are different trails you can walk to. Sadly, we only had time to visit the overlook. However, just seeing this viewpoint, still took our breath away!
